We all know the Wilson A2000 YP66, the Yasiel Puig game model, right? Turns out, that gray and blue model is not the only glove that Puig used in 2016; he used four gloves in total. Here are closer looks at Yasiel Puig’s Gloves:
Wilson A2000 KP92 in Blonde & Blue
In spring training, Yasiel Puig broke out the glove you see above – a Wilson A2000 KP92 in blonde and blue. Besides that this design is absolutely flames, it’s surprising that Puig would even use blonde; he’s more of a flashy-color guy. It’s also surprising that he used the 12.5″ KP92 as opposed to his own pattern, the YP66, which measures at 12.75″ but plays more like a 13″. Either way, this glove is about as nice as it gets.
After spring training, this glove vanished into the baseball glove black hole.
Wilson A2000 YP66 in Gray & Blue
The model we all expected Puig to wear: this Wilson A2000 YP66 in Gray & Blue. It’s his own pattern, the YP66, and it’s even the stock Yasiel Puig model. By the end of the year, Puig had rotated this model into games with the two gloves you are about to see.
Wilson A2000 YP66 in Black, Red, & Blue
Yasiel Puig must have taken this design from former teammate Hanley Ramirez, as the colorway of this is almost identical to Hanley’s HR13 model from a few years ago. Ramirez’ HR13 in this look was sweet, as is Puig’s Wilson A2000 YP66 in Black, Red, & Blue.
Puig used this glove in a stretch of games in the middle of the year, and later used it as a shag/warm up glove.
Wilson A2000 YP66 in Blue and Red
Puig’s Wilson A2000 YP66 in Blue and Red has been on the glove scene for a while, as it was Puig’s gamer in a past and was released to the public a few years ago. It is easily the flashiest model on this list, and is pretty sick nonetheless.
Puig used this glove sparingly in the 2016 season, only using it for a short string of games in the middle of the year.
