Introducing the Wilson Glove of the Month September 2016, a quite odd glove that few actually know of. Here it is:
Wilson calls it a player-designed DP15. Wilson said Jose Altuve designed this glove, but I do not think so. I am not a fan of the white thumb, but I do like the white welting and web with the navy and orange. It looks sharp.
Wilson went with their most popular pattern on this GOTM, the DP15. Wilson tried to aim this glove to younger players with the flashier colors and the DP15 pattern, which comes with a smaller hand stall, which is going to be in between a youth and adult fit. I do like the Pedroia Fit, as it fits my hand perfectly.
Overall, while I am not the biggest fan of this glove, I still think it is neat. Navy and orange go very well together, and the white is there to add some pop. The decision to make this a DP15 makes financial sense, but I think Wilson should release more pitcher or outfield Glove of the Months.
