Although this post may seem a little late, many retailers just received their Rawlings Gold Glove Club March models in the middle of the month. These models are the first GGC gloves in a few months to be worth a wait, as they’re some of the best color/pattern combos to date:
The model number on the left is the Joc Pederson model, the Rawlings Pro Preferred PRO303-4KB, and the left model is simply a custom model, modeled Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRONP4-2BGB. Here are individual breakdowns on each Gold Glove Club model:
Rawlings Pro Preferred PRO303-4KB
This all-black outfield model is a replica of the glove that Joc Pederson used in 2016, complete with a modified trapeze and a 12.75″ length. Playing the outfield with a modified trapeze web is different, as it is not super deep and is very firm. In many aspects it is the opposite of an H-web. But, with the flat 303 pattern, this model will catch any ball that hits it – and that’s exactly what an outfielder wants.
Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRONP4-2BGB
The custom black and golden brown PRONP4 is sweet. Not only does it look good, but it an awesome middle infield model at 11.5″ with an I-web. And, the NP4 makes a flat and shallow pocket, making quick transfers up the middle easy. But, the NP4 pattern isn’t for everyone, as this glove has a natural thumb-to-middle finger close.
