For the Rawlings Gold Glove Club June models, Rawlings released two infield models that combine straightforward patterns with rather bizarre colorways.
This post serves as a guide to the two new Rawlings Gold Glove Club June models, including a discussion about the pattern of each model, each model’s unique colorway, and other information you should know about the gloves.
Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO204-2GBG
The Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO204-2GBG is an 11.5” 204 pattern model with an I-web, and features the 200 pattern’s famous wide heel design and medium depth pocket.

Due to this combination of the aforementioned medium depth pocket and 11.5” length, few patterns are better for picking it at shortstop and second base.
While the pattern on this glove is about as straightforward as it gets, the colorway is one of the most bizarre Rawlings has ever released.
With a golden brown base, gray welting and binding, black lacing, and blue/white labels, the PRO204-2GBG surely is one of the more creative models Rawlings has put out.
This considered, a player on a blue team might find this rather classic design as a good fit to match team colors.
Overall, the Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO204-2GBG is an excellent option for a middle infielder who likes the look of the brownish leather with some blue and gray split welting.
Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO2175-6GBR
Whereas the first June GGC features one of Rawlings’ more prominent infield patterns, the Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO2175-6GBR features a less heralded one: the 217.

While the 217 pattern was generally considered an 11.25” model before this year, Rawlings recently released a larger version of the 217: the 2175.
This GGC is one of these newer 2175 models, meaning it measures in at a true 11.75”. In addition to that specification, this model has an H-web and one of the shallowest pockets an H-web can have.
Just like the first June Gold Glove Club model featured in this article, the PRO2175-6GBR features another colorway that is different from the status quo.
With a black back and binding, blue web and welting, and gray palm and wrist, the Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO2175-6GBR is again one of the more creative models Rawlings has released.

Nonetheless, it is a design that those playing on a blue-centered team may find appealing.
Overall, the Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO2175-6GBR is a model for shortstops and third basemen looking for a wide, yet shallower, design to field the ball in their respective spots.
