In 2016, former Gold Glove and Platinum Glove winner Manny Machado switched up the typical either flashy or classic model with something in the middle. Manny Machado’s Glove is a mix of classic colors arranged in a little bit of a flashy way:
The official color scheme on Manny Machado’s Glove is chocolate leather on the back of the glove, black palm, and gray lacing, welting, and binding:
How Machado came up with this black, chocolate, and gray design is beyond me. Unlike most of his prior gloves, this colorway does not match Orioles’ colors at all. Despite how out-of-the-blue this design is, it still is an attractive look.
Machado did not change everything from his older models, however. He is using the same pattern he has been using for the past few years, the 12″ NP5 pattern. And, for the second year in a row, Machado is using the V-web as the web on his glove.
Manny Machado’s Glove from 2016 feature a different colorway, but the same pattern as his last few models. As I have previously predicted, Manny Machado’s Glove is a stock glove for 2017, modeled the Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRONP5-7BCH, and comes in the same colorway, pattern, web, but in an 11.75″ size.
